Vein Care


                           We offer the latest in minimally invasive care for varicose veins.  You don't need to suffer the trauma of a vein stripping to eliminate the pain and embarrassment of varicose veins.  VNUS™ radiofrequency vein Closure™ and Laser Endovenous Ablation can be done with a catheter introduced into the leg through a single needle puncture, and we are the first and right now the only place in Idaho where you can get both of these procedures.  These are "no incision" procedures and for many patients this is the only procedure they will need to rid their legs of varicose veins.  You don't need to go to sleep to have Closure™ or Laser Endovenous Ablation and you will be able to go back to work the next day.  We also offer microsurgery to remove varicose veins if they do not lend themselves to Closure™ or Laser Endovenous Ablation.  We offer injections known as sclerotherapy for small varicose veins and we offer external beam laser treatments for spider veins.  You can read more about varicose vein care by clicking on the link in the Link Bar on the left side of this page, "Learn about Varicose Veins."  This is a big file with good illustrations.  It takes about a full minute on a 28.8 modem to download but it's worth the wait.

Hernia Care
                                We do laparoscopic hernia repair in almost all of our hernia patients.  In our hands, this repair is over 50 times more reliable than standard hernia repairs done by other surgeons (failure rate 0.2% vs. 10-15%).  We have had 94% fewer complications (0.6% vs.10%).  We developed our own technique for this.  We've now done over 1000 repairs with our technique. FotoFacial
